Just finished 6.22 miles in 58:15. Also performed additional abdominal and upper body strengthening after the run. I’m trying to be more consistent with these additional exercises.
I can tell this week’s slower pace is paying off: my legs are not feeling as tired as they typically feel by the weekend. It’s a little disheartening to look at the pace over the last week, but I’m trying to put it in the context of building a larger base. Next week should be my highest mileage week this year. And if the plan continues on course, I should be running my highest mileage weeks ever, 50+, in about three weeks.
