3/31/12 Training

Today’s run was much slower than my recent runs.  My left knee starting hurting last night, so I was a bit fearful of how today’s run might go.  I was able to get in my planned mileage, but I took the knee pain as a reminder that I need to dial back on the pace as I add more miles to my base.  By slowing down my pace, I was able to complete the run without pain and my knee has not bothered me since.  I’m hoping it was an early warning of too much at a quicker base during my building stage.

The 7.06 mile run took me 1:04:21.  It was another early morning run on the Greenway Trail and the weather was almost a repeat of yesterday morning.  I have a little less than 10 miles to run tomorrow to reach this week’s goal of 39 miles.
