5/16/12 Training

Today contained two runs, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon.  The early run was 3.0 miles in 27:26 on the treadmill.  Not much to comment on for this run, it was simply to get the blood flowing in the morning and add a few extra miles to the week’s total.

This afternoon’s run was at a quicker pace, running 6.11 miles in 47:06.  It was a nice run within the neighborhood with the temperature around 80 degrees.  The interesting observation about both of these runs was the fact that I didn’t have many thoughts.  It was a more business-like effort to get the miles in today.  I’m pleased with this week’s start to get a few steps closer to my goal near 70 miles this week.
