6/30/12 Training

With the cruise docked in Nassau on Friday, I didn’t run.  I ran 5.5 miles on Saturday on the ship’s treadmill in 40:08.  It feel good to push the pace a little, but felt a little different with the movement of the ship.  After the run, I also lifted some weights concentrating on arms, abdomen, and hips.

We stopped at Half Moon Cay on Saturday.  I ran less than a half mile on the beach and it was crazy — certainly felt like running on the softest carpet imaginable.  I also performed a “first” on Saturday — running on water.  Brooke and I went parasailing.  When the crew was bringing us back into the boat, they dipped us into the ocean to let us “run” on the water.  It was a very cool experience and would do it again in a heartbeat.
