9/14/12 Training Update

Although I enjoyed my week in Baltimore, it has been a tough week for training. The weather has been great in Baltimore but my nagging heel pain kept me from running at all the week. After Sunday’s 20 miler, my right heel was extremely painful on Monday. Noticing quite a bit of swelling, I decided to take the week off from training to helpfully heal a little before making my final training push.
My heel seems to be improving and I hope to ease back into running next Monday, but think any speed work or hill repeats are out of the question for the rest of this marathon training.
