In my quest to eventually qualify for the Boston Marathon, I discovered the need to exchange various thoughts on running with others — I hope this blog will eventually cover multiple aspects such as training, racing, book and movie reviews as well as those random thoughts that usually only occur during a run. Oh, and I cannot forget those memories of runs many moons ago, of past teams and teammates — all which seem to be very therapautic especially during diffucult training stretches.
My last marathon and PR was less than five minutes off the new qualifying standards that will be used beginning with the 2013 Boston Marathon. My plans are currently to run my next marathon in the fall of 2012 and if I prepare well enough, hope to obtain a time to run in the 2014 Boston Marathon. 5 minutes, or as my brother the acountant quickly pointed out, 12 seconds faster each mile.
While Boston is my more immediate goal, I hope this blog or some form of it will last well after that. I hope to share my memories, trials, friendships, and adventures thanks to running.
